Welcome to Ultimate Volume Booster ("the Extension", "we", "us", "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

1. Description of Service

Ultimate Volume Booster is a browser extension for Google Chrome (and compatible browsers) that amplifies the audio output of individual browser tabs. The Extension uses the Web Audio API to boost volume levels up to 1000% and provides additional premium features including Volume Stability, Safe Boost, Bass Boost, Voice Clarity, a 3-Band Equalizer, site-specific presets, and theme customization. All audio processing is performed locally on your device.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the Extension or any part of its source code.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Extension.
  • Sell, resell, sublicense, rent, or lease the Extension to any third party.
  • Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Use the Extension to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of any website, service, or network.

3. Free and Premium Tiers

The Extension is available in two tiers:

  • Free Tier: Provides basic volume boosting functionality up to 1000% at no cost.
  • Premium Tier (UVB Pro): Unlocks advanced features including Volume Stability, Safe Boost, Bass Boost, Voice Clarity, 3-Band Equalizer, site-specific presets, auto-apply presets, and premium themes. Premium access requires a valid paid subscription or license key.

4. Premium Subscriptions and Payments

Premium subscriptions and one-time license purchases are processed through our payment provider, Polar.sh. By purchasing a Premium plan, you agree to the following:

  • Subscription Plans: Monthly and yearly plans are recurring subscriptions. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • Lifetime Plan: A one-time payment that grants permanent Premium access with no recurring charges.
  • Payment Processing: All payments are securely processed by Polar.sh. We do not store your credit card or banking details on our servers.
  • License Keys: If you receive or purchase a license key, it is tied to your email address and may only be activated on one Extension installation at a time.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time through Polar.sh or by contacting our support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. User Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share data when you use the Extension. By using the Extension, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The Extension, including all code, design, graphics, logos, and content, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You acknowledge that you have no ownership rights in the Extension beyond the limited license granted in Section 2.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that:

  • The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
  • The results obtained from using the Extension will be accurate or reliable.
  • The quality of the Extension will meet your expectations.
  • Any errors in the Extension will be corrected.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Extension.
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Extension.
  • Any content obtained from the Extension.
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data or transmissions.
  • Any damage to your hardware (including speakers) resulting from use of the Extension at extreme volume levels.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Extension shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Extension (including Premium features) at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is harmful to our business interests. Upon termination, your right to use the Extension will immediately cease. Premium subscriptions terminated due to violation of these Terms are not eligible for refunds.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via the Extension or our website. Your continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Extension.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Extension shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the governing jurisdiction.
